Erin Lloyd was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL.  She started her dance career at the age of 8 and has been with her local dance studio, Ballet Arts Centre, under the directorship of Beth Marks and current director Sydney Keister Phelps, ever since. She is technically trained in ballet, pointe, jazz, modern, tap, hip hop and acrobatics. Besides her regular dance classes, Erin has participated in Ballet Arts Centre’s pre-professional program since the age of 11.  She also was part of her studios dance company that would perform at various venues including Disney and Universal Studios.
Always being highly motivated, she graduated high school as a homeschool student at the age of 16.  Erin is pursuing her BFA in Dance and currently attends FSCJ and is a member of their danceWORKS company, with the plan to transfer to Florida State University or Jacksonville University.
Erin has attended various summer intensives and workshops including Urbanity in Boston, MA, Missouri Contemporary Ballet in Columbia, MO, FSU with Suzanne Farrell and also a variety here locally in Florida.
Erin has been a teacher’s assistant for various dance classes for about 8 years. This has given her the inside view of teaching from a very young age which has helped mold her passion for teaching dance to young children.
